This workshop is NOT TO MISS! **** About Peter **** Peter Flahiff (Seattle, WA) is a swing, balboa, and tap instructor. He’s been at it since 1993 and teaching since 1995. Peter’s dancing has brought him across the country and around the world as a very highly regarded instructor, DJ, performer, and lecturer, as well as a sought-after lead. He emphasizes the social aspect of lindy hop, including clear lead and follow skills. He has taught from LA to New York, London and Munich, and has been an instructor at Herrang Dance Camp. Peter has studied with some of the best of the best old-timers, including; Jim Taylor (hollywood choreographer, partner with Ginger Rogers, teacher), Frankie Manning, Leonard Reed (inventor of the most commonly danced Shim Sham routine), Jean Veloz, and Fayard Nicholas of the Nicholas Brothers. His classes are super fun, and he is constantly in a state of perpetual gratitude about doing something so fun for a living. When not dancing up a storm at workshops, you can find Peter running his own dance company (Eastside Stomp), as well as being an regular judge at Camp Balboa Seattle. **** What Toe Tappin' Swing has to say.... Pleasant Community Hall *Balboa Fundamentals for All Levels: Makin’ It Look AND Feel Good! 10:30-11:30am New Bal dancer? Great! Experienced Bal dancer? Perfect! This class will help dancers take their balboa to the next level, whether you’re a regular bal dancer or not! Covering fundamental concepts, passed down from the old-timer legends of Balboa! *Balboa Moves n’ Grooves 11:30-12:30pm This class will explore some classic swing-bal moves, some moves you’ve never seen before, as well as ways to mix and match moves you may already know. Lunch Break 12:30-1:30pm *That’s Lindyful! - Lindy Hop styling and technique to make you a better dancer 1:30-2:30pm Come and find new and interesting ways to smooth out your lindy hop repertoire. *Lindy Moves to Dazzle Your Partner 2:30-3:30pm This class will feature some signature moves that Peter enjoys that will help spice up your dancing and bulk up your dance library. *Be Irresistible: How To Have People Line Up To Dance With You 3:30-4:30pm Peter Flahiff is known for being that fabulous dancer who constantly has a line of follows just waiting to dance with him on the sidelines.
